Armaan Malik and Sukriti Kakar put together a romantic mix only on T-series MixTape Season 2

New Delhi, May, 2019:

Childhood friends and bound by music, singers Armaan Malik and Sukriti Kakkar collabrate first time together for the seventh episode of T-Series MixTape Season 2 powered by Amazon Prime Music. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, this episode features Armaan Malik and Sukriti Kakkar crooning two popular songs ‘Darkhaast’ from the movie Shivaay and ‘Ajab Si’ from the movie Om Shanti Om.

Keeping the romance intact for the mix, Armaan Malik and Sukriti Kakar put forth a great performance that will leave you asking for more. Complimenting them were talented musicians doing a western jugal bandi on a sitar and guitar giving the song much needed feel. They are further accompanied by instrumentalists playing the drums, bass guitar, keys, piano and percussion. The show has been directed by Ahmed Khan Khan and conceptualized and developed by Shivam Chanana and Sonal Chawla.

Talking about this episode Armaan Malik shares, “This is my 2nd track on T-series MixTape Season 2. I performed with Shreya Ghoshal in the first episode of this season and we came together for the first time ever. In this episode too, I am collaborating with my school friend and musical buddy Sukriti Kakar for the first time as we sing the songs Ajab Si, which I really like and Darkhaast, which is also great. I like the concept of MixTape as a lot of freedom is given to artists to play around with the song. Moreover, fans will love listening to their favourite song in their favourite singers voice.”

Sukriti Kakar excitedly comments, “I am looking forward to my episode with Armaan Malik and we collaborate for the first time. The tracks are love songs and have a cool vibe to it. MixTape is a very unique concept. It gives a lot of artists like us freedom to mashups and recreating music. You can never have 1 favourite song. There will always be 2 favourites whats better than having 2 songs together” she further adds, commenting on the concept of MixTape.

Music Director Abhijit Vaghani shares, “This is a sensuous song. The track has got a chill vibe to it. The song Darkhaast is a soft floaty track and so easily merges into Ajab Si. Moreover, the song has a sitar and guitar combination. We found a duo that played these instruments. The guitarist played the Indian phrasing on the guitar. It was quite unique as both of them were sinking onto the same phrase and played it really well. Armaan Malik and Sukriti Kakar sound great in such love tracks.”

Watch the seventh episode today in Armaan Malik and Sukriti Kakar voices only on T-Series Youtube Channel. Also, listen to the song on Amazon Prime Music ad free for a voice enabled listening experience.
