One of the country’s most pioneering institutions in the field of Healthcare Management, IIHMR University, Jaipur has been felicitated with the ‘Best University in Healthcare Management’ award at Med Achievers Health NXT programme. The event, which was organized to highlight the current challenges and opportunities in India’s healthcare landscape, at the Taj Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi, addressed the several critical areas that obstruct the synergy between technology and the healthcare professional.
This award honors and encourages IIHMR University’s efforts at sustainable and impactful healthcare management research, education and executive education. Apart from the awards, the event saw a rich panel discussion and industry networking. The programme was attended by leading hospitals, pharma companies, research institutions and investors.

IIHMR was established in 1984 with the objective of creating capabilities in improving healthcare in India and other parts of the world through management education and research. Renowned public healthcare academician, Dr. Rameshwar Sharma was its first Director.
IIHMR has been a WHO collaborating center for District level health systems focusing on primary healthcare, which is the first point of contact with medical services for the common man. It has also been deemed an ‘Institute of Excellence’ by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI, for its unique role as a provider of the employment pool in healthcare leadership, strategic management, quality assurance, pharmaceutical and rural management.
IIHMR University runs some of the finest sectoral management programs including Hospital and Health Management, Pharmaceutical Management, Rural Management besides PhD and the unique Master of Public Health (MPH) offered by Johns Hopkins University, US, in collaboration with IIHMR University, Jaipur.
