Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana – an initiative to provide quality training to Small Town Candidates

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) together with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is helping youth in Rajasthan live in dignity through their initiative Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana (PMKVY). Launched under Skill India initiative, PMKVY aims to provide quality training to build a skilled and job-ready workforce catering to the evolving demands of the industry.

Adil Hussain, 20, from Mahaveer Colony in Bundi, Rajasthan, found his calling in sales, and decided to pursue skill training at the NIFA Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) to make a career out of it. “The training I underwent at the centre made me aware of the finer nuances of the retail industry. The two-month course opened new avenues of employment and gave me confidence about my abilities to do well in the world and about how to handle situations and evaluate opportunities,”he said. Today Adil is working with Paytm as retails sales associate and is earning Rs. 17,000 per month.

Parmeshwar Yadav, 23, another beneficiary of the training programme in Bundi, said, “While I was looking for opportunities that could help me refine my soft skills, I came to know about Pradhan MantriKaushal Kendra and its model of providing job at the end of the curriculum.I was happy to have finally found a place where the staff was helpful and helped me gain confidence on my chosen subject.”Parmeshwar earns Rs. 13,500 per monthas a delivery boy at food delivery app Swiggy

Adil and Parmeshwar are among the many candidates from Rajasthan who have benefitted from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s (MSDE) training programme. The training programmes are free of cost for participants who are also placed at the end of training.
