Chennai: TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, the world’s third largest tractor manufacturer by volumes, has been actively contributing towards agriculture and farming for many decades through JFarm– it’s adaptive agri-research centre and the recently launched JFarm Services App, which aim to improve agriculture productivity and farmer prosperity.
TAFE was bestowed the prestigious ‘PRCI Chanakya Award for Social Leadership’ for its Outstanding Contribution to the Profession, Industry and Society, by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI)at the 2019 Chanakya Awards and Global Communications Conclave. This award was presented to TAFE by Mr. Sunil Arora, the Chief Election Commissioner of India. TAFE also received the highest in category, Crystal award for Corporate Communications and a Gold Award for its Farm Dost initiative. The TAFE Group was among the top winners, receiving11 awards across different categories at the conclave. Some of these awards were presented by Mr. H.K.Dua, veteran journalist, Member of Parliament and Padma Bhushan awardee.
Besides agriculture, TAFE has also been supporting the community in the fields of education, women empowerment, healthcare, conservation and tribal welfare, disaster relief and promoting rich Indian culture and heritage, through various initiatives that are closely aligned to its vision philosophy of Cultivating the World.
