New Delhi, 19th September 2019: After a successful run in Jalandhar and Hisar, the 10th Jagran Film Festival will be held in Agra and Raipur from 20th to 22nd September. The schedule of the three-day festival has been released. In Agra, the festival will be inaugurated by Brijendra Kala, Indian film actor known for his subtle portrayals of characters rooted in reality. Besides film screenings, the festival will feature In-conversation with Brijendra Kala, in Agra and with Yashpal Sharma in Raipur.

“Tashkent Files” will be showcased as the opening film in Agra and “Chintu Ka birthday” in Raipur. Premiered at 10th JFF, movie “Bunker” will be screened as the closing film in Agra and “Tumbabad” in Raipur. To pay tribute to Kader Khan, his movie Karma (Written by Kader Khan) will be showcased in Agra and Coolie no.1 in Raipur. Movie Ram Lakhan will be screened as the Retrospective to Anil Kapoor in Both the cities. TVF special Kota Factory will also be screened in Agra.

The world’s largest travelling film festival received an overwhelming response in Jalandhar and Hisar. The 10th JFF Jalandhar chapter was inaugurated by Babita Phogat (Wrestler) and Finance Mister Haryana. Capt. Abhimanyu. Movies like Tashkent files, Nakkash and Bunker saw full houses. Rashmi Somvanshi’s In-conversation revolved around women empowerment and about her movie Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi that was screened in Hisar. Real life army heroes Lt. General DP Vats (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha), Shri. O P Chehar (Dy. Commandant Retired) and Col. Chandra Singh Reddu were present along with Uri movie screening and they interacted with the audience and received the well-deserved heroes response. In Jalandhar inauguration guests of honor were Satish Verma, Director, followed by an In-conversation with him about challenges being faced by Punjabi artists and cinema. Piyanka Bhole and Puneet Kumar Channa, lead casts of the movie Rihaa, interacted with audience about their movie Rihaa and their roles in it. Inder Bajwa’s In-conversation was around the facilities available for youth to create Punjabi content and how to use it. He also spoke about how he has come back from Bollywood and initiated facilities for the youth in his “pind” such as, kabbaddi clubs and a gym. Sunny Deol, Karan Deol and Saher Bamba had a detailed interaction with the audience around their movie Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass which is to be released on 20th September 2019.

Jagran Film Festival started in Delhi from 18th July and has travelled to Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Patna, Gorakhpur, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dehradun, Meerut, Bhopal, Indore, Hisar and Jalandhar. The festival will now travel to Agra and Raipur. The travelling festival will culminate on September 29 in Mumbai.
