Adani Foundation celebrated the Fifth International Yoga Day with enthusiastic participation from students of Adani Foundation-run schools, community members, employees and their families across multiple locations in India. A total of 10,861 people participated to commemorate the occasion today.
Since 2015, International Yoga Day is celebrated every year worldwide, to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga in daily life. Yoga is known to have immense benefits, balancing and harmonizing body, mind and soul. Encouraging overall health and wellness, yoga helps in reducing stress, anxiety and improves self-esteem and concentration for a healthier body and mind amongst children and adults.
Over 5500 students across the Adani Foundation-run schools, such as Navchetan Vidyalaya (Hazira), Adani Vidya Mandir (Ahmedabad and Mundra) and Adani Public School (Mundra) and programmes such as Udaan participated, emphasising the importance of yoga, and therefore health in everyday life. Further, more than 4000 employees, families and community members across Godda (Jharkhand), Surguja (Chhattisgarh), Tirora (Maharasthra) and Dhamra (Odisha) participated in the occasion.
At Adani Foundation, the celebration of International Yoga Day is a reminder to all individuals about the importance of a healthy and harmonised life.
