New Delhi, June 23, 2020.
Kia Motors India will launch its third vehicle — Sonet — in the market in the coming months August or September 2020.
First showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, Kia Sonet will bolster the automaker’s product line-up that currently includes Kia Seltos and Kia Carnival. That Kia Motors India has hit the right notes with the Seltos and the Carnival is proven by the sales numbers of the two vehicles. The compact SUV will be up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Venue. It will also rival Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport.
Kia Sonet will be priced between Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kia Sonet will be based on the same platform that Hyundai Venue uses. Just like its elder brother Kia Seltos, the upcoming compact SUV will sport a tiger-nose grille. There will be projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, roof rails and dual-tone alloy wheels. We were pretty surprised by the quality and quantity of features that Kia Motors India had added to the cabin of the Seltos. Expect a similar treatment with the Sonet. Among the bells and whistles that you will see in the Sonet are automatic climate control, multifunction steering wheel, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Bose premium audio system.
