After the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024, the parliament, in continuation of the session, took up the discussion on statutory resolution regarding President’s Rule in Manipur. The parliament finally passed this motion by voice vote method.
Earlier, the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024, which was tabled on April 02 in Lok Sabha, witnessed a discussion between politicians for nearly 11 continuous hours. The bill was finally passed late at night on Wednesday-Thursday night. According to ANI, the bill was passed with 288 votes in favor and 232 votes against the Bill.
