We’re all hyper aware of the context that we’re living in – the coronavirus pandemic. While most of us are working from home to stay safe, there are people whose lives have only become more dangerous. These are doctors, medical health workers, the police, and other essential service providers. So this Mother’s Day, Standard Chartered Bank India wanted to highlight the stories of mothers who are performing their duty at the frontlines. These first respondents from across the country are risking their safety and spending time and effort to make our nation healthier, safer.
The kids of these moms aren’t spending this lockdown with their moms – they’re not learning how to perfect any recipes, not watching movies or playing games together. In fact, this lockdown means they’re at home missing their moms as they go about performing their duty.
In this video, we wanted to explore how these kids really feel, and what they would like to say about their warrior moms. The real covid warrior moms we have featured include a doctor, a nursing tutor, nurses, a police constable, an MD of a security firm keeping our universities and Film City safe, and an ASHA worker from Himachal Pradesh. From getting in touch with them to helping their kids shoot this in secret to celebrating their real-life superheroes, we’re very glad that we have been able to bring the stories of these amazing, inspirational women to light and show the world how they are #HereForGood, especially during this global crisis.
Gaurav Rajput, Managing Director and Marketing Head at Standard Chartered Bank India said: “At Standard Chartered Bank India, we believe that mothers have always epitomized good, a quality that our brand promise of being #HereForGood is based on. We believe in championing good, through both our ways of revolutionizing banking for customers as well as our CSR initiatives. This film, shot fully remotely in order to adhere to safety norms, has given us a chance to shed light on the stories of some of these COVID warrior moms who are fighting for us at the frontlines.”
Chandni Shah COO at Kinnect said, “Mothers who are fighting the pandemic on the frontlines need more than just wishes and flowers. #HereForGood is a tribute to these moms who are selflessly serving the nation. It’s a flood of emotions, and together with Standard Chartered Bank, it’s an initiative that honors and applaud these mothers. And while we must celebrate them today, we shouldn’t forget mothers deserve to be celebrated every day, especially the ones who are at the frontlines.”
