As a part of continuing programmes of “Ayurveda Day” which was themed “Ayurveda for Poshan”, the National Institute of Ayurveda and Ministry of AYUSH commemorated its three-day AYUSH Expo and Food Festival today at the Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. The event will conclude on 13th March 2022. Dignitaries present at the event were, Dr. Shubhash Garg, Hon’ble Minister of State for Ayurved & Indian Systems of Medicine, Mr. Ramcharan Bohra, Member of Parliament, Jaipur city, Mr. Pramod Kumar Pathak, Special Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Prof. Banwari Lal Gaur, Ex-Chancellor, Rajasthan Ayurved University, Celebrity Chef Mrs. Pankaj Bhadouria, Mrs. Kavita Gard, Joint Sec- Ministry of Ayush and other distinguished guests.
Dr. Shubhash Garg, Hon’ble Minister of State for Ayurved & Indian Systems of Medicine said, “Ayurveda has been an age-old tradition which has been followed by all of us in some way or the other. However, its importance seems to have diminished with time- especially with the youth today. We must incorporate Ayurvedic Aahar in the curriculum of children from standard 6th to 12th to imbibe healthy eating habits in their day to day lives. Ayush must take a lead to incorporate AAHAR for girls in rural schools from 6th -9th grades to resolve the unending challenge of anaemia in them. ”
Mr. Ramcharan Bohra, Member of Parliament, Jaipur city expressed his gratitude and welcomed all researchers, staff, scientists at the event. He said, “Ayurved Mantralay and the National Institute of Ayurveda have exhibited the importance of healthy eating habits and Ayurved through this Expo and food festival.”
Mrs Pankaj Bhadouria, Celebrity Chef said, “Ayurved is India’s gift to modern society and the whole world. We must take pride and adopt the healthy eating habits that have been mentioned in Ayurveda to make our younger generations healthy and adapt them to our day to day lives. We are what we eat and this makes us who we are. Ayurved must be incorporated in everyone’s lives.”
