As COVID cases rise again, with the NB.1.8.1 variant spreading globally, children face renewed health risks. Medical experts note that young ones are showing symptoms like fever, cough, and cold more frequently this season.

Coronavirus has once again emerged in Dausa district in Rajasthan. The health department was alerted after a 5-year-old child tested positive for COVID-19. The child, who was initially brought to the hospital due to leg pain, was referred to JK Lon Hospital, Jaipur, where COVID-19 was confirmed. The CMHO office has directed all block medical officers to remain vigilant.

In the wake of recent spike in the cases in Karnataka, the state government has taken swift action, directing parents to keep children home from school if they show any COVID-like symptoms. The official circular emphasises following proper medical advice and treatment protocols, marking a proactive step to prevent virus spread in schools and protect vulnerable students.
