Rajasthan captain Karan Lamba slams double hundred against Vidarbha in U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy

Jaipur, January 28, 2028.

Captain Karan Lamba’s double century and superb bowling by Ashok Sharma, Mohit Changra and Chetan Sharma guided Rajasthan to a strong position against Vidarbha in the BCCI Under 23 CK Nayudu Trophy match being played in Nagpur.

After winning the toss and batting first, Rajasthan made a huge score of 462 in their first innings with the help of captain Lamba’s double century and half-centuries from Sachin Yadav and Mukul Chaudhary.

Lamba’s 206 came off in 356 balls. The talented middle-order batsman smashed ten boundaries and 6 sixes. He was well supported by Sachin Yadav (96), who missed his century by a whisker. Mukul Chaudhary (51), Mohit Changra (29), Sumit Godara (24) and Chetan Sharma (21) were the other notable contributors. Vidarbha’s Sanskar Chawate and Ganesh Bhosle claimed 3 wickets each.

Vidarbha batsmen fared poorly and were bundled out for 151. Jagjot made 32. Rajasthan bowlers Ashok Sharma, Mohit Changra and Chetan Sharma bowled brilliantly to skittle out hosts cheaply.

Following on, Vidarbha were struggling at 149 for 5 in their second innings. By the end of the third day’s play, opening batsman Ankit Pandey was holding the fort with an unbeaten 51. Rajasthan bowlers Manish Acharya and Mohit Changra scalped two wickets each, while Ayush Ameria took 1 wicket.
