Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood and enjoys a large fan base on social media. Currently, the actor is busy promoting his upcoming film, Sikandar. On Wednesday, he interacted with the media in Mumbai. During this time, Salman shared his thoughts on nepotism in the film industry.
Over the years, Salman Khan has entertained fans with numerous films like Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Tiger Zinda Hai, Andaz Apna Apna, Judwaa, Dabangg and much more. On Wednesday, during a press meet the actor was asked about being a ‘self-made’ star. He responded to the question saying, ”Nobody in this world is self-made”.
He explained his point further by saying that his father, Salim Khan, came to Mumbai to work in films. This gave Salman the choice to either stay in Mumbai and work in films or go back to Indore. He choose to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Adding a humorous twist, Salman joked about how the word nepotism is often used these days. When a journalist talked about Raveena’s daughter Rasha as an example of new star kid, Salman gave a witty response saying ”Kangana ki beti aa rahi hain.”
