BCCI suspends IPL for one week ‘with immediate effect’ amid India-Pakistan tensions
New Delhi, May 09, 2025.The BCCI has officially confimed the immediate suspension of the remainder of the IPL 2025 season, in a press release issued on Friday. The decision was made after escaltion Indo-Pak tensions, triggered by the Pahalgam terror attack. According to the press release, the tournament has been suspended for one week, with immediate effect. On Thursday, the IPL 2025 match between PBKS and DC on Thursday in Dharamshala was called off midway, due to technical issues.The incident happened at the same time as heavy shelling was reported in the border areas amid ongoing military tensions between India and Pakistan.
