No respite from heatwave, but rain expected Thursday
Jaipur, April 29, 2025.Heatwave aggravated in the state Monday, with most places recording maximum temperatures above normal. Barmer was the hottest with a maximum of 46.4 degrees Celsius. Jaisalmer recorded 46.2 degrees Celsius, which was the highest ever maximum temperature for April at this place since April 2018, when 46.1 degrees Celsius was recorded.Attributing the continued rise in mercury to active northerly winds and vanishing of western disturbances, the Met office here said prevailing heatwave conditions will continue Tuesday and Wednesday.
