Re-iterating its commitment towards the welfare and up liftment of India’s driver community, Tata Motors has partnered with Zee Media Group for a unique initiative – ‘Transform Trucker Abhiyaan’, covering a 5000 km road trip across the country. Through this program, we aim to further uplift the driver community by creating awareness about various important aspects like driver comfort and safety. This program will be conducted across 10 locations in India – Chandigarh, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Pune, Nagpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Dharuhera and Navi Mumbai, and will reach out to more than 5000 drivers across the country.

Driver welfare and safety has always been the foremost priority for Tata Motors – right from designing trucks to tailored value offerings for their overall wellbeing. Every Tata Motors truck is ergonomically designed with strong, reliable and technologically advanced features to reduce driver fatigue and ensure maximum comfort and safety. Highest level of noise and heat insulation, seats with Emergency Lockable Retractor (ELR) seat belts, technologically advanced engines delivering maximum torque on wider RPM range, factory fitted air conditioning, wide and comfortable sleeper berth, are few amongst numerous design elements incorporated to ensure an elevated driving experience.

Tata Motors even offers comprehensive solutions for driver’s economic, social and health betterment under the banner of “Sampoorna Seva” including Tata Alert, Tata Suraskha, Tata Delight, Tata Kavach and many others. The company has also introduced initiatives such as Tata Delight Driver Insurance, Super Saarthi, Ek sham Saarthi ke naam, Health Camps and Star Scholarship program to recognize their contribution and enhance their standard of living.

The company has also set-up ‘Drivers Resting Station’ on major routes for drivers to rest and rejuvenate. These Kendras are equipped with resting cots, laundry service, salons, clean toilets and bathrooms. A total of 1,353 workshops offer resting areas to the drivers. The company currently have over 2000+ touch points, 212 fully-loaded mobile workshops and 484 container workshops deployed at all major trucking and tipper centers across the country.

As part of Transform Trucker Abhiyaan, key industry stakeholders and policy makers will also be coming together on one platform for the three CV forums in Mumbai, Indore and Chandigarh followed by a culmination event in New Delhi to discuss various reforms, measures, training center’s etc. to support driving as a well-respected profession. {
