ebt-laden Vodafone Idea has reported a lower consolidated net loss at Rs 7,176 crore for the second quarter ended September 2024 from Rs 8,737 crore last year. The telco had reported a net loss of Rs 6,434 crore in the June quarter of FY25.
Revenue from operations increased marginally by 2 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 10,932 crore from Rs 10,716 crore a year ago. The customer revenue increased by 5.6 per cent when compared to the last quarter, aided by the recent tariff hikes undertaken by all private operators. The company said capex spend for Q2 of FY25 was Rs 1360 crore as against Rs 760 crore in Q1 of FY25. The debt from banks and financial institutions reduced by Rs 4,580 crore during the last one year and stood at Rs 3,250 crore. The cash and bank balance was Rs 13,620 crore as of September 30, 2024.
