WHO says 200 diseases are caused by unsafe foods

The World Health Organisation (WHO) says that 200 diseases are caused by unsafe foods, ranging from diarrhoea to cancers. While around 16 lakh people get sick due to unsafe food every day, on average.

On regular basis, we are consuming many unsafe foods that are affecting our brain health. But despite being aware or unaware, we keep on relying on these foods to satiate our craving.

Ultra-processed foods include potato fries, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets, instant noodles, chips, etc. These are typically high in added sugars, fats, sodium.

Artificial sweetener are made of phenylalanine, methanol, and aspartic acid. a high intake of artificial sugar can affect our brain’s thinking ability and it also negativity impact our health.

Beverages like soda, sports drinks, energy drinks, and packaged fruit juices contain high calories.

Refined carbohydrates like breads include sugars and highly processed grains, such as white flour.
