The government has increased the limit of payment through UPI from ₹ 1 lakh/day to ₹ 5 lakh/day. At present, this facility will be available in hospitals and educational institutions on payment through UPI.
currently the limit for normal UPI payment is ₹ 1 lakh. Whereas the limit for capital market, collection, insurance and foreign inward remittance is Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, the government has exempted Extra Factor Authentication (AFA) on auto-debit UPI payments up to ₹ 1 lakh.
Till now, extra factor authentication was required for auto debit payments of more than ₹ 15,000
