Study says plant-based and cow’s milk not nutritionally equal; here’s what to consider

Fat: Cow’s milk contains both saturated and unsaturated fats, around 3-4 per cent fat. Plant-based milk types differ, with almond and rice milk having lower fat content, and coconut milk being richer in fat.

Vitamin D, vitamin B12 and calcium Cow’s milk contains all three micro nutrients while plant-based milk lacks these. However most brands come with fortified vitamin D, B12, and Calcium to compensate for its absence

Lactose: Cow’s milk contains lactose, causing lactose intolerance in some individuals. Plant-based milk alternatives are lactose-free.
