The highly anticipated horror-comedy sequel, Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, continues its box office takeover. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film has been in cinemas for four weeks and is on track to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
The worldwide total collections of Stree 2 now stand at Rs 533.50 crore, making it the second-highest grossing film of all time, beating the box office records of Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 (Rs 525 crore) and the Hindi collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (Rs 524 crore).
The film has now begun its journey to chase the Hindi nett of SRK’s Jawan (Rs 582 crore), as per industry tracking website Sacnilk. The horror-comedy is expected to catch up with Jawan soon and even outperformed it during the fourth weekend.
The film also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. Audiences have been flocking to theatres to experience the magic once again. According to early estimates by industry tracking website Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 3 crore on Tuesday, September 10, day 27 of its release, taking Stree 2’s domestic nett collection to Rs 533.50 crore.
