In the board meeting of the Rajasthan State Roadways Transport Corporation (RSRTC) held on Thursday, the corporation decided to initiate an action plan to include 500 diesel buses and 300 electric buses in the corporation’s fleet in the next two years.
“The work on this action plan will start soon so that relief can be provided to the passengers and their journey can be made comfortable. The corporation is working at a fast pace to give concrete shape to the action plan for the operation of electric buses in the state,” said Shubhra Singh, the chairperson of the corporation.
Officials said that, apart from this, many other important proposals, like the budget proposal for the year 2024-25, approval of the budget proposal for the year 2025-26, and amendment in the eligibility prescribed for various recruitments, were discussed in the board meeting.
In the meeting, instructions were given to prepare a plan for the requirement of resources from financial institutions and complete optimisation of vehicle operation, keeping in mind the financial conditions of the corporation
