Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma directed officials Monday to ensure prompt implementation of MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan summit. Chairing a review meeting, Sharma emphasised the need for continuous monitoring and inter-departmental coordination to expedite the process.
“I instructed department secretaries to closely monitor MoUs in progress. District in-charge secretaries and collectors must maintain regular communication with investors to ensure seamless execution,” said Sharma. He also directed officials to submit a detailed report within 10 days on land requirements for MoUs involving investments exceeding Rs 1,000 crore.
Sharma said it is important to be in constant touch with investors to identify their priority needs and resolve land allotment cases promptly. “A monthly review of the MoUs, categorised into three tiers, will be conducted. Additionally, a system will be established for investors to access updated progress reports on their MoUs,” he added.
For MoUs requiring approvals from multiple departments, the CM stressed the need for effective inter-departmental collaboration to accelerate their implementation.
Highlighting the govt’s focus on economic growth, CM Sharma reaffirmed the commitment to supporting large-scale industries as well as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). “The department of industries and commerce has been directed to draft necessary regulations to streamline MoU implementation. Progress reports must be submitted to the Chief Minister’s Office on the 11th and 26th of each month,” he stated.
These measures, CM Sharma noted, reflect the govt’s dedication to fostering a business-friendly environment and translating investment opportunities into tangible outcomes for Rajasthan’s development.
