Rekha Gupta set to become Delhi’s new CM

Rekha Gupta’s name has been finalised for the post of Chief Minister of Delhi. According to sources, RSS has proposed her name, which has been accepted by BJP.

The name of the Chief Minister is expected to be announced in the BJP Legislature Party meeting at 7 pm today, 11 days after the assembly election results.

The Chief Minister will be sworn in on Thursday (20 February) at 12:35 pm at Ramlila Maidan. The invitation sent by the Chief Secretary of Delhi also mentions the oath taking of ministers along with the Chief Minister.

According to sources, BJP can make a combination of Dalit, Purvanchal and Jat. There can be two deputy CMs. 30 thousand guests are expected to attend the program.

Party President JP Nadda has already made it clear that the Chief Minister will be from among the elected MLAs. The names of cabinet ministers can also be announced in the meeting.
