Axial spondyloarthritis is an autoimmune disease. It is a type of arthritis that causes inflammation and pain in the joints of the spine and waist. This disease usually begins under the age of 45 and sometimes its symptoms start appearing at a younger age.
The symptoms of axial spondyloarthritis develop gradually and usually persist for a long time. Most diseases get relief after sleeping or resting, whereas in this the problem increases.
In the beginning, there is pain in the waist and back. While when the symptoms become severe, breathing becomes difficult and sensitivity to bright light increases.
It is not possible to cure it completely, but it can be controlled with proper treatment and care. Its treatment mainly focuses on reducing pain and preventing swelling.
