Silver climbs to new peak of ₹1.17 lakh per kg:Prices spike by ₹30,671 this year; gold trades at ₹1,01,239 per 10 gm today

Silver prices surged to a record high today, touching ₹1,16,688 per kilogram, up ₹818 from the previous close of ₹1,15,870, according to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA). Since the beginning of 2025, silver has gained ₹30,671.

Meanwhile, gold prices also strengthened. The rate of 24-carat gold rose by ₹355 to ₹1,01,239 per 10 grams, compared to ₹1,00,884 a day earlier. Earlier this month, on August 8, gold had set its previous all-time high of ₹1,01,406 per 10 grams.
