To prevent unnecessary delays in payments and improve transparency, Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) Wednesday banned payments by cheque and issued instructions to make all payments through RTGS/NEFT or online transfer only.
Housing Board commissioner Rashmi Sharma said, “Till now, the offices of the Board used to make payments through cheques, which is not relevant, logical, and reasonable in the current digital age. Besides, it causes unnecessary delay in the receipt of the amount by the recipient. Keeping this in view, these orders have been issued.”
She said that strict action will be taken against those who disobey the orders.
