New Delhi, April 09, 2024.1206 candidates from 12 States /UTs along with 4 candidates from Outer Manipur PC to contest elections in phase 2 of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. A total of 2633 nominations were filed for 88 PCs across 12 States/UTs going for polls in phase 2 for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The last date for filing nominations for phase 2 for all 12 States/UTs was April 4, 2024. After the scrutiny of 2633 nominations filed, 1428 nominations were found to be valid. Normal monsoon forecast this year: Skymet Weather Services

Jaipur, April 09, 2024.Weather forecasting agency Skymet announced the monsoon forecast on Tuesday. According to Skymet, monsoon will be normal in 2024. The agency has predicted the monsoon season to be 102% (5% plus-minus margin).The average (LPA) for the 4-month monsoon season running from June to September is 868.6 mm. Skymet Managing Director Jatin Singh said that initially there will be an impact of El Nino, but it will be compensated in the second half.Skymet has issued monsoon forecast for the second time this year. Jaipur, April 06, 2024.Zee Entertainment will lay off an estimated 15% of its workforce as MD and CEO Punit Goenka proposes a leaner and more streamlined management structure. The company aims to reduce costs and achieve the targeted objectives of 8-10% revenue growth and 18-20% Ebitda margins by FY26.The layoffs are expected to affect approximately 500 employees, of the total 3,437 permanent staff.
