Our lifestyle plays a vital role in maintaining good health. Here, diet is a major factor, which we usually avoid in today’s fast paced world.
Gallbladder, a small part of our body nestled beneath our most crucial organ, the liver. Though small in size, it performs important functions in the body. It stores and releases bile, a fluid produced by the liver for digesting fats.
If this gallbladder develops stones, its entire function gets disrupted, causing unbearable pain on the right side of the stomach. Then the doctors advise removing it from the body through surgery. But sometimes it involves risk of some complications in the body post-surgery.
This happens because when the gallbladder is removed from our body, it cannot store bile, then it slowly reaches the small intestine and accumulates there in large quantities. Due to overload, the small intestine draws excess water and salt from our body, which can cause problems like diarrhea.
After gallbladder surgery, our body cannot digest fat properly. When gallbladder surgery is performed, patients are given various medicines to prevent external or internal infections, such as antacids, anti-inflammatories, painkillers, etc. Some patients may experience indigestion problems from these medicines. This usually does not last for a long time.
After gallbladder surgery, some patients experience blood clot problems. When blood becomes thick, blood clots start to form. This affects blood circulation in our body, which prevents blood from reaching our vital organs.
