New Delhi, May 2024.Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd. (Star Health Insurance), market leader in retail health insurance, today announced robust financial results for its Q4 and FY2024. In FY'24 the Company reported a record profit of Rs 845 Cr, up 37% and an increase of 18% in Gross Written Premium (GWP) to Rs 15,254 Cr. PAT for Q4FY24 at Rs 142 Cr was up 40% YoY; GWP increased by 18% YoY in Q4FY24 to Rs 4,968 Cr. The Combined ratio was 96.7% in FY24 and was 92.7% in Q4FY24. New Delhi, May 01, 2024.Ambuja Cements, India’s second-largest cement maker by market capitalisation, reported on Wednesday a smaller-than-expected profit rise in the fourth quarter as lower prices weighed.Cement makers are expected to report subdued income from sales in the reported quarter, owing to a nearly 5 per cent decline sequentially in cement prices across India.The March quarter usually sees cement makers report strong volumes as they push prices down to clear year-end inventory backlogs. New Delhi, May 01, 2024.Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has reported a 13.26 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 381.29 crore during January-March 2024 on account of increased expenses.Its net profit after tax was at Rs 439.60 crore in the January-March period of the preceding 2022-23 financial year, the company said in an exchange filing on Tuesday.For the whole financial year (FY24), the company’s net profit stood at Rs 1,195.61 crore, down from Rs 1,280.60 crore registered in FY23. IOC net profit halves in Q4 on fuel price cut, petchem woes

New Delhi, April 30, 2024. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on Tuesday reported halving of its March quarter net profit largely because of losses in the petrochemical business and shrinking margin after it announced a pre-election fuel price cut despite rising input costs.The net profit of Rs 4,837.69 crore in January-March compared to Rs 10,058.69 crore a year back and Rs 8,063.39 crore in the preceding October-December quarter, according to a stock exchange filing by the company.Profit was lower as refining margins dipped, the petrochemical segment turned negative, and the firm, last month, cut petrol and diesel prices by Rs 2 per litre each despite crude oil prices edging up. New Delhi, April 30, 2024.Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd on Tuesday reported a decline of 6.45 per cent in profit after tax at Rs 154.37 crore in the third quarter ended March 2024 on account of one-time tax impacts.The company, which follows the July-June financial year, had reported a profit after tax of Rs 165.02 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal.However, Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd (PGHH) revenue from operations increased 13.48 per cent to Rs 1,002.17 crore during the quarter under review. It was at Rs 883.09 crore a year ago.

Granules gets USFDA nod for generic gout medication

New Delhi, April 30, 2024.Drug firm Granules India on Tuesday said it has received approval from the US health regulator to market a medication used to prevent or treat gout attacks.Granules Pharmaceuticals, Inc, a wholly-owned foreign subsidiary of the company, has received approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for Colchicine Capsules (0.6 mg), it said in a regulatory filing.The company’s product is therapeutically equivalent to Hikma International Pharmaceuticals LLC’s Mitigare Capsules (0.6 mg), it added.Colchicine Capsules are indicated for prophylaxis of gout flares in adults.According to industry sources, the current annual market for Colchicine Capsules in the US is expected to be around USD 55 million.
