Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday took a bus ride to JECC, the venue for the upcoming Rising Rajasthan investment summit, to take stock of preparations in the city. He inspected various routes from the airport to the venue and instructed the officials to regularly monitor various aspects, including cleanliness, the traffic system, strengthening of roads, beautification of the city, and transport-related resources.
At JECC, he was briefed about the activities to be organised during the inaugural session, seating arrangements for the guests, and other preparations. After JECC, he went to Jai Mahal Palace to see the arrangements for the cultural programmes to be held during the summit. He was given detailed information about the preparations for the summit by principal secretary (Industry) Ajitabh Sharma.
Sharma said that under the leadership of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state govt is organising the summit in its first year of coming to power. The chief minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the inaugural session of the summit on December 9, and the state govt is engaged in mission mode to complete the preparations and arrangements, he said.
He said that Rajasthan has its own identity in the world, and the specialty of expatriate Rajasthanis is that they are connected to their roots. He mentioned that Rajasthan is famous for its hospitality, and a wonderful treat of hospitality, culture, and traditions of the state will be seen in the summit
