The Ministry of External Affairs held a press conference on Friday on Operation Sindoor, where Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh briefed the media about the Pakistani attacks on the night of May 8–9.
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi stated that on the intervening night of May 8–9, the Pakistani Army launched multiple attacks targeting Indian military infrastructure.
Infiltration attempts were reported at 36 locations along the international border, leading to cross-border firing. Indian forces successfully neutralised the infiltrators.
