You may have tried green tea, black tea, milk with tea, and many other varieties of this much-loved beverage. But have you ever tried amla or gooseberry tea which, according to chef Venkatesh Bhat, has 2500 more antioxidants than green tea? In a snippet from one of his shows shared online, he is seen sharing the recipe of the tea prepared with amla, ginger, mint leaves, and ajwain or carrom seeds.
Ingredients
1 – Amla, crushed
4 – Mint leaves
1 inch – Ginger
Carrom seeds
Water
Method
*Boil water and add all the ingredients.
*Let it simmer.
*Strain the tea. Sip and have the tea.
According to Bhat, this tea is a good remedy for heartburn, and heart health, and even helps delay ageing. He went on to say that the combination of amla with mint, ginger, and carrom seeds has more than 2,500 antioxidants than green tea which has 10 antioxidants. “The proportion of antioxidants is more. So, make this tea every day and drink,” said Bhat.
