Jaipur, March 02, 2025.
The 25th IIFA Awards, scheduled for March 8-9 in Jaipur, introduces a unique green initiative. Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Shahid Kapoor, and Kartik Aaryan will contribute to an IIFA Garden featuring 15,000 plants named after celebrities.
Public participation is welcomed at JECC. The event’s invitation card, weighing 7 kilos, showcases Jaipur’s tourist attractions and artifacts.
IIFA’s environmental initiative will launch at Jaipur ceremony with CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Deputy CM Diya Kumari. Trees will be planted honoring 25 years of IIFA winners – Best Actor, Actress, and Director recipients.
Following PM Modi’s concept, trees will also commemorate winners’ mothers. The public can participate in this green tribute, says CFG’s Pranshu Bhardwaj.
Challenge for Green’s website offers public tree adoption for IIFA’s 15,000-plant initiative at JECC and Sitapura. The project features 30 species including Arjun, Ashoka, Gulmohar, Neem, and Peepal trees, says Pranshu. Each plant costs ₹88 for public participation.
