India may become world’s 4th largest economy by December 2025

India’s economy could surpass Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy by December 2025. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) World Economic Data, India’s GDP is currently ranked fifth in the world at $4.3 trillion. Japan’s GDP is currently at $4.4 trillion.

IMF predicts if the current growth rate continues, India will surpass Germany ($4.9 trillion GDP) by 2028 to become the world’s third-largest economy.

India’s economy has doubled in the last 10 years. This economic growth is the fastest in the world. According to IMF data, India’s GDP has increased by 105% in the past decade. Currently, India’s GDP is $4.3 trillion, whereas in 2015 it was $2.1 trillion.
