India’s New Expressway Link Set to Revolutionize Travel Between Delhi and Jaipur

Jaipur, April 21,2025.

A new 67-km expressway linking Bandikui to Jaipur Ring Road will cut Delhi-Jaipur travel time to 2.5 hours, offering a faster, smoother, and safer route.

The road trip from Delhi to Jaipur is set to become faster and more convenient with the completion of a new expressway link on the Delhi-Mumbai corridor, making it possible to travel directly from Delhi to Jaipur in just under two-and-a-half hours.

a new 67-km highway now connects Bandikui to the Jaipur Ring Road, shortening the travel distance by 20 kilometers. Previously, travelers had to exit at Dausa and take the slower NH-21 route. This new road forms part of an ambitious effort to alleviate congestion and enhance safety between the two cities.

Until now, vehicles traveling from Delhi, Gurgaon, and Faridabad had to divert at Dausa, heading onto NH-21, a road that passes through various towns and villages, with a speed limit of 100 km/h. This route often led to delays. With the Bandikui link in place, drivers will no longer need to switch roads, allowing for a seamless and direct journey from Delhi’s DND Flyway to Jaipur once the new section is open.

Though most of the new highway is operational, one segment remains unfinished. The construction of a rail overbridge (ROB) on the Delhi-Ahmedabad railway line is still underway. As per The Economic Times, an NHAI official confirmed that the road is almost complete, with only one side of the overbridge pending. It is expected to be finished by the end of May, after which a temporary detour will be set up to allow traffic to flow smoothly
