Summer season is here and so does the need to take care of body against scorching heat. Your skin may be affected by humidity, and air conditioning resulting in tanning, wrinkles, dark spots and many more. But, the common skin problem in summer is heat rash, also known as prickly heat.
This is the problem that can effect anyone and at any age. According to a study published in the National Library of Medicine, prickly heat (heat rash) is a common skin condition caused by intense heat or humidity. However, with some basic care and hygiene, it can be significantly relieved.
Heat rash is a common skin issue, especially during the summer. It shows up as tiny red bumps on the skin, often with a burning or itchy feeling. These bumps usually appear on the neck, back, or around the waist. The main reason behind it is blocked sweat glands.
When sweat stays on the skin for too long, it creates moisture that allows bacteria like Staphylococcus to grow. These bacteria can clog the pores, stopping sweat from coming out properly. This leads to rashes or bumps. In medical terms, this condition is called ‘Miliaria’, and it’s also known as sweat rash or prickly heat.
