Jaipur, November 2024.
Investment MoUs worth INR 16176 crore were exchanged with the investors from Health, Medical and AYUSH sectors today at the Health Pre-Summit in the august presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma. With the signing of MoUs today, the total investment proposals signed under the health sector under the banner of ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 has reached the figure of over INR 25400 crore. Among the investment MoUs signed today, investment MoUs worth 14000 crore were signed in the Health and Medical sector while investment MoUs worth INR 2157 crore were signed in the AYUSH sector. Additionally, investment proposals worth INR 57000 crore were received on the RajNivesh portal. The conversion of these proposals in the on-ground projects is expected to generate over 6 lakh direct and indirect job opportunities in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, speaking on the occasion, said, “By organising the investment summit in the very first year of our term, the government has made its intention clear of not only signing the MoUs but also working towards their on-ground implementation in the next 3-4 years. All Medical & Health sector investors- small and big- are welcome in the state as they will all ultimately serve the common citizen at the grassroot level and provide a healthy workforce to the state.”
Expressing happiness at the signing of investment MoUs worth INR 2157 crore specifically in the AYUSH sector, the Chief Minister said, “I am pleased to know that we have secured a large number of investment MoUs in the AYUSH sector. AYUSH is not only India’s heritage & identity but also showcases the Indian culture and centuries-old knowledge before the world. People across the world are gravitating towards AYUSH and the sector has immense potential of growth in the coming years.
Talking about the commitment of the state government towards delivering quality healthcare, the Chief Minister said, “Our commitment towards healthcare is evident with 88% of the state’s population covered under the comprehensive insurance scheme which is highest in the country. The state budget 2024-25 also allocated the highest ever INR 28000 crore which is over 8.26% of the overall budget. The government is also going to launch the new Pharma Policy and Medical Value Travel Policy to unlock the medical tourism potential of the state.”
Speaking about the significance of the Health & Medical sector, the Chief Minister said, “Every single rupee invested in the health sector will work towards alleviating the suffering and pain of the masses and bring smile on their faces. Every person contributing to the healthcare sector is doing the service of humanity.”
Among the MoUs signed, the investors have proposed to set up pharma units, medical colleges, universities, nursing colleges, homeopathy and Ayurveda college, Ayush Research Panchkarm Centre, Advanced Ayurveda and Naturopathy institutes in key areas of the state including Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Rajsamand, Sikar, Sirohi among others.
Accompanying the Chief Minister on the occasion, Hon’ble Medical & Health Minister, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar said, “Signing ofMoUs,in such a large number, demonstrates the efforts and the impact of the policies launched in the last 11 months by the government under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma Ji. The new investment will not only bring new healthcare institutions, medical colleges and wellness centres in the state to provide quality healthcare but also create lakhs of job opportunities for the youth.”
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary, Medical & Health and Family Welfare, Government of Rajasthan, said, “Rajasthan has become a premier investment destination in healthcare due to its strategic location, attractive policies, and skilled workforce. The government is committed to providing quality healthcare at all stages of life, from childbirth to palliative care.”

At the end of the event, Vote of Thanks was delivered by Shri Ambrish Kumar Secretary, Medical Education, Government of Rajasthan.
Ms. Neha Giri, Managing Director,Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation Ltd said that the Health Pre-Summit was successfully concluded with signing of a large number of MoUs and the department will now work towards the on-ground implementation of these investment proposals.
In the run-up to the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, the government of Rajasthan has organised investors’ meets around the country as well as overseas. The domestic investors’ meets have already been organised in Mumbai and New Delhi whereas on the global front, the investors’ meets have so far been organised in South Korea, Japan, UAE, Qatar, Singapore, Germany, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. The extensive outreach at the domestic and international level has resulted in Government of Rajasthan securing Investment proposals (MoUs) worth over INR 18 lakh crore so far, reflecting the resounding faith of the investor and business community in the state’s efforts.
