Nitin Menon India’s only representative among ICC Elite Panel Umpires

ndian cricket’s officiating prowess continues to shine through Nitin Menon, who remains the country’s sole representative in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Elite Panel of Umpires for 2025-26.

Menon, who ranks second behind England’s Richard Illingworth, maintains his position as the panel welcomes two new members.

The elite group’s latest iteration sees South Africa’s Allahudien Paleker and England’s Alex Wharf joining the prestigious 12-member panel, replacing the outgoing Michael Gough and Joel Wilson. The changes mark a significant shift in cricket’s highest umpiring echelon, whilst maintaining its diverse international representation.
