Jaipur, November 19, 2024.
Bhajan Lal Sharma-led BJP govt will unveil projects and schemes worth Rs 25,000 crore, spanning key sectors such as agriculture, youth empowerment, IT, and innovation, on its first anniversary on Dec 15.
Aimed at creating a statewide impact, the projects and schemes focus on skill development through programmes like Business Innovation Programme, Atal Entrepreneurship Programme, and LEAP (Learn and Progress). “Youth-centric programmes are central to our strategy for empowering the next generation and driving innovation,” said a senior govt official.
To promote local economies, district magistrates have been instructed to identify one distinctive product or service. For instance, Dholpur’s stones, Alwar’s dairy products, and Banswara’s forestry industries have been identified as potential highlights. “This ensures every district a role in the celebrations. District magistrates have been asked to prepare detailed reports and implement these plans in phases,” the official added.
Farmers remain a key focus area, with grants being introduced to enhance agricultural infrastructure, such as farm ponds. Gopal Credit Cards for livestock farmers aim to provide additional support.
The celebrations will also see direct benefit schemes, such as transferring Rs 150 crore to 1.5 lakh construction workers, along with distribution of two-wheelers and essential equipment.
“This is a chance to touch every household across Rajasthan,” an official said. The missed opportunity to celebrate the govt’s first 100 days due to the Lok Sabha elections only heightened the efforts to make the anniversary impactful, he added. Special attention is being given to fulfilling promises made in the 2024 Budget. The govt is targeting completion of nearly 90% of its commitments.
