Indian Railways has given good news for people going home during Diwali and other festivals. People traveling by train during the festive season will get a 20% discount when booking round-trip tickets. However, the scheme has only been introduced on and experimental basis.
This will benefit those who use trains to go home and return. As the passenger will get a discount of 20% on the booking of a return ticket. Railways has taken this decision considering the crowd and people’s difficulties with ticket booking during festivals.
