Rajasthan govt committed to make state USD 350 billion economy by 2030: Dy CM Diya Kumari

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Wednesday presented the Budget for the financial year 2025-26 with a focus on employment and water supply projects and announced major initiatives including the construction of nine greenfield expressways.

While presenting the Budget for the financial year 2025-26 in the House on Wednesday, Kumari, who also holds the finance portfolio, announced recruitment for 1.25 lakh posts in government departments and state undertakings in the coming year.

“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government has proved the trust expressed by the public was right by setting new records of development in the state in the first year of its tenure itself,” she said in her Budget speech.

The major key points announced in the budget, recruitment of 1.25 lakh positions for the government departments and state undertakings in the coming year. The state’s infrastructure development is all set to get a significant boost. Plans for constructing nine greenfield expressways at an approximate budget of Rs 60,000 crore has been announced.

The Rajasthan State Budget 2025-26 lays a strong foundation for long-term economic growth by prioritizing infrastructure expansion, energy security, and employment generation. The announcement of nine Greenfield expressways spanning 2,750 km with an investment of ₹60,000 crore is a transformational step that will enhance intra-state and inter-state connectivity, catalyzing industrial and commercial growth. Improved road infrastructure, along with targeted investments in rural roadworks and urban traffic management, will strengthen last-mile connectivity, benefiting logistics, warehousing, and industrial real estate.

The government’s focus on energy security, with surplus power generation and expanded electricity access for households and agriculture, will ensure a reliable supply for industries, manufacturing hubs, and commercial real estate.

Furthermore, initiatives to improve urban infrastructure, such as water supply programs and renewable energy incentives, will make cities more livable and business-friendly. These steps will accelerate Rajasthan’s transformation into a major investment hub, attracting domestic and global investors across key sectors like logistics, manufacturing, and IT-enabled services.
