Record breaking heat in Jaipur, mercury reached 46.4 degrees: second hottest day in 10 years

The scorching heat in Jaipur has broken the record of 7 years. The maximum temperature in the capital Jaipur reached 46.4 degrees on Monday, which is the second hottest day in 10 years in the month of May. This is 4.6 degrees more than the average. Earlier on May 19, 2016, the maximum temperature recorded in Jaipur was 46.5 degrees.
The scorching heat and heat waves have made life miserable in Jaipur. Even today, strong sunlight and heat wave will trouble the general public. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Jaipur for the next 24 hours. During this period, hot winds can trouble the common man during the day as well as at night.
