The BJP government led by Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma has started the process of changing the decisions of the previous Congress rule. In another major decision of the Gehlot government, the government has canceled the recruitment of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks for 50 thousand posts. The Peace and Non-Violence Department has issued orders to cancel the recruitment process.
In the budget of the year 2023-24 during the Congress rule, the then CM Ashok Gehlot had announced the recruitment of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks on 50 thousand posts. On the basis of this budget announcement, the Department of Peace and Non-Violence had issued a release on 13 August 2023 for recruitment on contract basis for one year.
The motivators were to be given a stipend of Rs 4500 every month. These motivators were to be given the responsibility of propagating Gandhism and non-violence. Gehlot government had issued this recruitment two months before the code of conduct, at that time BJP had raised questions on this contractual recruitment.
