Jaipur, November 28, 2024.
Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police on Wednesday arrested three physical training instructors (PTIs) and a lecturer for securing govt jobs through forged degrees and use of dummy candidates.
ADG (SOG) VK Singh said the arrested PTIs were identified as Swaroopa Ram, posted at a govt school in Dhorimanna, Barmer; Bharmal Ram, serving at a govt senior secondary school in Kuda, Sanchore; and Laduram, working as a PTI at a govt upper primary school in Gudamalani, Barmer.
The SOG arrested Kamal Bishnoi, a resident of Rajeev Nagar, Sanchore, who is currently posted as a zoology lecturer at the govt Senior Secondary School in Aranai, Jalore district. These arrests followed a complaint received through the SOG’s WhatsApp helpline. Upon scrutinising their documents, the SOG discovered that the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) degrees of the three PTIs were forged, and they also employed dummy candidates to clear the exams.
Singh said that Kamal Bishnoi was arrested for appearing as a dummy candidate on behalf of Rajendra Kumar in the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) Grade Second-2022 exam for general knowledge and educational psychology, which took place on Dec 24, 2022. The exam was cancelled due to a paper leak.
The exam was rescheduled and held again on Jan 29, 2023, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, during which Kamal Bishnoi took the general knowledge and educational psychology exam in place of the accused, Rajendra Kumar. The SOG sought public feedback and tips through its helpline numbers from common persons to report suspected cases of cheating and unfair means used by candidates in the exam.
