STAGE Unveils the Music of ‘Hukum’: Power, Pain & Poetry in Every Note

Jaipur, April 9, 2025.

With a thunderous round of applause and goosebump-worthy live performances, STAGE, Indias leading OTT platform for regional dialects, launched the music of its original Rajasthani film Hukum at the Rajasthan International Centre.

The event saw Indian Idol-fame Swaroop Khan take the stage, performing the film’s title track with electrifying energy, encapsulating the intensity and scale of what’s being called “Rajasthan’s most awaited regional action thriller.” Known for his powerful folk voice and Bollywood hits like TharkiChokro (PK) and Ghoomar (Padmaavat), Swaroop brings unmatched depth to the soundtrack of Hukum.

About the Film

In the barren outskirts of Bheroganj, a masked vigilante, the Killer, is on a mission to bring down the most feared name in the underground crime world: Hukum. Ruthless, faceless, and unstoppable, Hukum is more than a villain, he’s a system. As betrayal, corruption, and revenge collide, one man’s past threatens to unravel everything.Hukum premieres on April 12, 2025, only on STAGE.

The Music That Tells the Story

The two songs launched, Hukum Title Track and Raj Dulari (Lori), are core to the film’s emotional arc, offering a deeper window into the soul of the story.

The Hukum Title Trackis built to match this grandness. It was designed to feel larger than life, meant to represent the journey of the protagonist, his seething anger, his hunger for vengeance, and the path he walks through the narrative. As the creators put it:
“The idea was to create a larger-than-life track that embodies the heroism of our character and the journey he takes, marked by anger, revenge, and purpose. If you listen closely to the lyrics, youll feel the story unfold through the music. Every aspect of the songs execution and ideation was built to resonate with the audience on a grand scale while staying true to the films narrative with commercial appeal. We needed a powerful, hard-hitting voice to bring this vision to life, and thats why we chose Swaroop Khan, who fit the essence of the song perfectly.”

The second track released at the event was Raj Dulari, a hauntingly beautiful lullaby sung by Amaresh Sinha. Deeply emotional, the song is a lyrical tribute to the bond between parents and their children and captures the soul of the film. Speaking of its genesis, the makers shared:
This song is the soul of our film. The love between a child and his/her parents is unconditional. We felt the absence of a memorable Rajasthani lullaby that parents could sing to their children daily, so we created one. Himanshus lyrics beautifully express everything a parent wishes to say. As the narrative unfolds, the lullaby evolves into a deeper, more emotional version, reflecting both love and loss.”

Both tracks are helmed by music director Adamya Parihar, who plays an integral role in the film’s emotional and sonic universe. Alongside composers Himanshu Kiran Sharma and Kamil Hussain, and music producers Saurabh Hajare and Adamya Parihar himself, the music carries the film’s themes with raw energy.

Directed by Pankaz Singh Tanwar, Hukum marks the return of a visionary storyteller behind acclaimed works like Pitaah, Rees, and Rajasthan’s first-ever web series Sarpanch. Known for blending realism with cinematic grit, Pankaz brings his unique lens once again to regional storytelling.

At STAGE, our mission is simple yet powerful – to give every Indian dialect a stage of its own. Thats why we are bringing this movie, Hukum, to support the Rajasthani dialect. The people of Rajasthan will be able to connect with it deeply because it speaks in their own language. We hope they love it.

India is home to thousands of dialects, yet only a few find space in mainstream entertainment. Were here to change that. With the success of our Haryanvi and Rajasthani originals, weve seen how stories rooted in local culture touch hearts. Hukum is another big step in that journey – a gritty, emotional story that reflects the spirit of Rajasthan. In the coming months, we plan to expand to more regions, celebrating the voices that deserve to be heard. Because when stories are told in our language, something magical happens – we connect, we belong, and we rise together.”

As the body count rises and the truth inches closer, Hukum explores whether revenge brings peace or turns its seeker into the very evil they once set out to destroy.

Hukum will be available to stream exclusively on STAGE from April 12, 2025. The soundtrack is now live across all music platforms.
