New Delhi, May 21, 2025.The government will implement the 8th Pay Commission from January 1, 2026. The Pay Commission was approved on January 16, 2025. Meanwhile, the government has been advised to merge the levels of employees. It is also expected that the Pay Commission may implement a fitment factor of up to 2.86.This could increase the salary of central employees from ₹40,000 to ₹1 lakh .
