Power dept plans to ensure uninterrupted supply in Rajasthan
Jaipur, February 27, 2025.With summer around the corner, the energy department Wednesday examined its readiness to maintain an uninterrupted power supply in the state. Additional chief secretary (energy) Alok led a meeting, in which he instructed the engineers of discoms to manage demand-supply efficiently during peak hours.Alok directed officials to replace defective consumer meters on priority and advised them to avoid issuing bills based on average consumption, which reduced revenue collection.With the department banking on central schemes like PM-Kusum and PM-Surya Ghar to end free power provided to consumers, the meeting reviewed the progress of these schemes.
