Rajasthan sets Rs ₹1.5 lakh crore exports target in new policy

The state govt has set a target of Rs 1.5 lakh crore in exports by 2029 in the new policy approved by the Cabinet on Saturday. Goods worth Rs 83,704 crore were exported from the state in 2023-24.
To reach this milestone, the industries department has laid out a roadmap with measures to improve the ecosystem for exports, diversify products, and expand the merchandise base, among others.
"Rajasthan is already a leader in products like gems and jewellery, handicrafts, dimension stones, textiles, and engineering goods. We are not only focusing on our core competencies but encouraging other sectors to emerge as market leaders," said Ajitabh Sharma, principal secretary of the industries department.
