First image of Baba Barfani emerges from Amarnath cave
Jaipur, May 06, 2025.The first image of the naturally formed ice Shivling—revered as Baba Barfani—has emerged from the holy Amarnath cave in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. This year’s formation stands approximately seven feet tall, drawing spiritual excitement among devotees.The Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to begin on July 3 and will continue for 38 days, culminating on Raksha Bandhan with the ceremonial Chhari Mubarak ritual on August 9.
